Clinical Supervisor
Sophia Pazos received her master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. In over twenty years of clinical experience she have worked with survivors of intimate partner violence, persons living with HIV/AIDS, older adults, immigrants in and out of status in the US and persons in the LGBTQI communities.
Sophia Pazos' therapeutic approach includes an examination of the patient's here and now, and also an exploration on the past and societal systems affect the patient's functioning in the world. Whether it is walking through trauma, relationships, anxiety, depression, or discerning where the patients are in the wide spectrum of gender and sexuality, Sophia takes a holistic and integrative approach to help them move forward into the path to wellness.
Sophia Pazos employs various therapeutic methods in her practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
