Dr. Edgard Francisco Danielsen has 25 years of experience in various counseling and psychotherapeutic fields.
Dr. Danielsen has a PhD in Natural Sciences and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP) in Manhattan, New York. He is Faculty, Clinical Supervisor, and Personal Analyst at NPAP, where he teaches and supervises, and is an elected member of the Curriculum Committee of the Training Group. In addition to his academic and training roles in psychoanalytic institutes, Dr. Danielsen lectures in the Psychology and Religion graduate program at Union Theological Seminary, where he teaches psychoanalytically informed courses on gender and sexuality and leads workshops on sexual ethics.
Dr. Danielsen is a Nationally (USA) Certified Psychoanalyst (NCPsyA), a Clinical Member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association (FIPA), and on the Editorial Board of The Psychoanalytic Review, the oldest psychoanalytic journal published in English.
He is in private practice in New York and New Jersey.
